About Me
I am a writer, editor, and producer with more than 15 years of experience interviewing subjects, as well as writing and packaging stories and information in clear, concise, and compelling language. A graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, I spent almost a decade working in public radio, writing and producing everything from sound portraits and features to newscasts and hard-news spots.
In 2010 I became the Editorial Manager at Pratt Institute, the leading school of art and design, where I oversee all editorial content for two monthly e-newsletters, the twice-yearly alumni magazine, and several other print and electronic publications.
My work has appeared in or been heard on NPR, Marketplace, The New York Times and Salon.com. In addition, I blog about my simultaneous love for —and uneasiness with — fashion and shopping, at Crisis in Denim.
